Creative Entrepreneur and Girlchild Advocate, Etta Rachael Ojong, also known as “Etta Jomaria” becomes one of Anterior Strides’ ‘Lady Dynamique of the Week’. With enough passion, she stresses her mission to create a life worthy of inspiration to other women. Etta’s connection with life generally has been a balanced but spontaneous one. Little wonder she indirectly emphasises that “Spontaneity is a plan too”.
What is your passion and What Connection has it with Your Feminity?
The entirety of what drives my interests has more to do with humanity. I love enablement; helping others to be the best they can while staying true to themselves. This is evident in my partnerships with NGOs and foundations like Skygirls Gh, to mention but a few, whose sole goal is to groom teenage girls to stay true to themselves and not do drugs.
What would Be The most amazing Adventure to Explore?
Skydiving. It’s been on my bucket list for so long and I can’t wait for the experience!
What’s your Favourite Day of the Year and Why?
This year’s April 24th. I surprised my mom on her birthday.
Have You heard worst things about you? How Did that affect you?
There’s been rumours that I’m a lesbian. It sounded and still sounds really funny, and I just had to wonder why in the entire universe anyone will think that.
The Most Interesting Things About You Would Be?
•I’m able to effect a character switch. Depending on situations and milieu. This is spontaneous too😂
•My loyalty to the ofada rice and ofada sauce government. A Whole Nigerian Delicacy!
•Being able to create a balance in my life.
How different was Your Life A Year Ago?
I was not in my home country. Given that, you’d agree that a lot has changed. Some of what I’ve achieved this year were not even in my thoughts last year. Sometimes it’s really okay to let spontaneity in, yes plan ahead, but don’t forget God is the master planner.
Given 40minutes With Absolutely no preparation to make a Speech Presentation, What issue would that be?
Simple. Issues about the effect of female genital mutilation, managing crisis in relationships, handling life in a new country.
Talk About Your Struggles as a Woman!
There’s a lot to say especially being a woman existent in this part of the world. I’ll just sum it up in the trending hashtag started by Nigerian singer Simi and say #NobodyLikeWoman.
What Beliefs About Women Do you disagree With?
A lot but I’ll just limit it to the belief that women should feel the need to be self sufficient given how dependent society has tagged us to be. I think we’re (humans) all wired to be dependent on one another in one way or the other and that’s totally okay.
The saying “no one is an island” can not be overemphasized.

What does Freedom mean to You?
Living life devoid of the constant need for other people’s validation. To be truly free is to simply live freely (you can quote me😉)
How Has Your Strength Helped You to Conquer certain Stereotypes about being human?
Having an open mind and in-depth understanding about life, I am able to relate with anybody irrespective of class/status; as opposed to popular culture of people getting to a certain point in life and starting to see those below them as inferior. “We’re all nothing but pencils in the hand of the creator” – Wale Adenuga.
Life is Dynamique. Yeah! What makes yours unique?
My ability and willingness to keep planting creative seeds of hard work and consistency in my career, regardless of its twists and turns.
My constant yearning to create a balance while appreciating little things.
I consider myself a 360 degree human; in everything I do, I try to be at least good at it, and I am.
What’s in your future for “WOMANITY”?
To become a beacon of inspiration and hope for every young girl who dares to dream regardless of life’s hurdles. Basically being A Woman to Watch.
