Sadly, it is definite and natural for human agenda to have underlying motives. Many people are in shock for reasons of the already engineered perception of Robert Sylvester Kelly (Rkelly) through his music. Even though, over the years, there has been lawsuits and estimated sentiments of Rkelly’s involvement with scandals surrounding women, children, drugs and sex. Questions, Notions and Judgements have risen because of Rkelly’s Saga. Everything surrounding the underlying purpose of his actions revolves round the questions : “Who can decipher a cryptic Personality?” “Who can bring reality and true intentions to the fore, the gleam of great songs not withstanding?” Well, the law has answers. Although denied over the years, these answers have come to light, with Rkelly set to spend the rest of his life in jail from May 2022.
Deception has become the other of the day. Uhmmmm… Maybe not deception, because you and I didn’t sign as guarantors for Rkelly’s perfectness. Regardless, he has songs; classic, surreal and inspirational, which, despite the blacklistings happening all over social/music platforms, is likely to be on people’s lips, ad infinitum.
A Cryptic Personality.
In news today, Rkelly is with mentions such as Pedophile, predator, domestic terrorist, pervert, and these names, according to testifiers, are just understatements.
The truth is, he’s been immune because of the covering his fame and wealth has over him. Even more difficult is the fact that criticisms and accusations didn’t have a hold on him, over the years.
His successes trumped the controversies before, during and after the public tittle-tattles. Of course, for the sole existence of his albums and hits such as ‘I believe I can Fly’, released in 1996. But one can only camouflage for too long!
Moves! The Journey to Justice.
For years, it seemed as though Rkelly and his music were immune to public scrutiny, the law and it’s provisions, for scandals such as his.
Little wonder some social campaigns sprouted in 2017 with their sentiments aimed at highlighting Rkelly’s infamous strategies at unleashing mayhem on humanity. Now, that was some solid moves, powered by OUTRAGE.
At the end of the day, obviously, it is the outrage and rumor accumulatons that cause results to stir.
Owing to confirmed accusations, Rkelly is bound to spend the rest of his life in jail. Some of the world’s largest digital platforms are emitting justice as well.
This is evident, as YouTube shuts off his channels. Spotify already blacklisted his name in 2018. All these moves, though behind time, are steps towards curbing inappropriateness and maintaining public responsibility across the board.
I know You have Questions too.
How could so much evil be associated with someone we’ve come to trust the authenticity of his “engineered” brand? How could one with so much fame and money still resort to inflicting pains on families and friends just to make more? What happened to the edifying words in his songs? There are so many other questions people have to ask. Especially, those with no idea what his integrity record has been over the years.
Things happen every day. Rkelly’s Saga is one but the news will certainly fizzle in no time. Truthfully, there’s not so much anyone can opine or enforce to block the infiltration of human wickedness. However, there’s an inherent will to select what we perceive of people and abstracts. Maybe, just maybe we could just pay closer attention or Not.
