“Courage is no Mass Action”. This maxim is specifically coined for those who go overboard in putting blames on others for not getting the dents on their worth fixed.
It’s Your Course After all.
Nobody can align with your purpose better than you. It only takes a determining strategy, within your will. Ultimately, this involves making ample decisions around ways to triumph over besetting circumstances. It’s your course after all.
Belief and Counter Belief.
Universally, it is believed that people make things happen. But people can also be your undoing when there are so many expectations involved. The strength to take stands in glaringly confusing situations, is a personal affair. No rights have been conferred on anyone yet, to take a person’s stead in matters of life and breath. Opinions can fly as much as they will, especially from people whose absolute business is to control a fellow. The ability to make the final decisions, however, is bestowed upon just you.
Bear the Shame!
Just a few years ago, I hadn’t half the balls I have over my life today. I cowered at the slightest sight of responsibility. I never knew a day will come when I’ll be the one telling people to go for the life they desire, no matter how presently impossible it may seem. Well, I strongly desired to venture into situations that called for people’s amazement.
This desire wasn’t a conscious move to make people clap for me anyway. I had only had enough of being in the background of my life and stepped forth to take charge. The move to be at the mentally free place I am at the moment, consumed a lot of energy. I literally picked up my shame and swallowed it.
Yes, I bore the shame that surrounded the decisions I made at a point in my life. Although I was weighed down, I didn’t stop telling myself that my freedom was worth the psychological struggles. I consciously regurgitated and dined in my shame everyday, for months until I found the courage to bury it completely. With each moment I remind myself, the experience loses an extra freshness. This continued until the whole taste faded off and I couldn’t feel the pain of being involved in my past anymore.
You’d Always Remember.
No one ever gives the promise of forgetting a happenstance especially if it was a life-changing one. About my experience, Surely, I remember many of the unfortunate details! However, every of those memories is broken record now. Talking about my past pains these days, is solely for reference purposes. I cry when it gets physically overwhelming for being human but that’s just it; I move on! I do not stand at the same place I was when I last remembered. Each memory reminds me of the courage I possess.
So, when you remember, also bring to light the beauty of your resilience. Do not allow the ugly shadows of regrets to becloud your pride in how far you’ve come towards effecting your self confidence.
Resolve and Confront!
Being able to confront a mindset that is bent on clothing you with low self-esteem, shows readiness for a formidable lifestyle. At the point of this confrontation, nothing is capable of breaking your resolve anymore. It’s a process which may take time but definitely worth the while.
Courage is no Mass Action
You don’t need a mammoth crowd to give you the most needed hint to enforce a paradigm shift. The limit that you’re required to break away from does not answer to people’s desire for you. You’re the only one that can do it for yourself and perfectly too.
Humans Love Negative Highlights.
Naturally, people would never want to see a better you. Not necessarily because they hate you but because they like to have a topic on their lips and moving ahead is going to take away that gossipy joy from them. Humans love negative highlights for inexplainable reasons.
Loosen that connection!
This is not a call to outdo yourself but to know when to move and when to stay; when to say no and when not. Loosen the connection shared between your courage and fear. Make it a point of duty never to live in denial of your special abilities. Create a realistic atmosphere for fearlessness to thrive in the systems you daily engage with. This creation begins with a step. A step only YOU can take!
