While I heartily congratulate The NOI on her recent and confirmed appointment as the 7th Director-General of The World Trade Organisation, I wouldn’t fail to talk about the un-informed bias flying around regarding the convenient/inconvenient relationship between feminism and submission as it relates to The NOI’s Management of her very private family affair. I wonder in utmost disgust at the level of analysis which has gone down just within 48hours of her appointment. It is now a case of the standard pattern of dressing and Family attitude, forgetting that many matters are rather kept -without- earshot. No doubt, The NOI is a great personality, who, of course, by her public demeanor and out-of-scandal activities is worthy of emulation, BY ALL OBVIOUS STANDARDS.
But, people, you seem to have deviated o! From the process of her appointment and her career and public excellence to how much of an ideal submissive wife she is. Yes! we really seem to have deviated from the context of the great news! It would be worthwhile to focus our attention on the magic this enigmatic woman pulls with the strings of her mental and academic prowess. It would be more edifying especially for the economic development of our nation, Nigeria if we shift from creating a gender war to praying for our individualities to thrive in such a globally competitive manner. We must learn to set priorities regarding our public utterances and endeavour to keep to our obvious side of the bargain which is lending our cheer especially as this feat is an added feather to the crown of our nation, Nigeria.
On a lighter note, I won’t fail to congratulate my fellow Nigerians. You all celebrated it to reality even when it was still pending. We jollied and we partyied and we analysed like we always do.😂 We were so sure of this, we never failed in rendering our praises on The NOI. We saw it and we believed in its reality! Kudos to our positive spirit!
