Christmas, a universal tradition bearing in it tidings of new hopes and dreams… A time reserved for a special reflection especially on the ride (bumpy or straight) you’ve had in the year. A season, seasoned with love and hope for the future. Naturally, it’s a yeartide that comes with all shades of awesomeness as the weather changes to suit the personality of the season and this makes it almost, always inevitable to ignore its frenzy nature.
It is always a struggle, however for many people to meet up with the demands of this ultimate celebration in the year. By struggle, I mean, there is always an urge in everyone’s heart to have a great celebration no matter what! However, it is a good thing to celebrate, especially the end of this particular year, when it seemed all hope was lost for a revival.
Celebration brews from a place of gratitude. So, it feels right to say that Christmas is a time to be grateful for the year despite however it turned out. This gratitude also welcomes solemnity in a positive way as things are put in perspective; unity, fostered; forgiveness, initiated; reverence to the supernatural, observed. One of the things being an appreciated part of a family reminds one is the essence of togetherness and togetherness makes way for more celebration and reunion and this is what Christmas does —UNITES.
The feeling Christmas gives is surreal. No wonder people subconsciously and in their budgets, prepare for it. You’ll agree with me that no matter how hard the economy gets, Christmas still infiltrates the air, causing an inevitable drive to bask in its euphoria.
It’s YULETIDE everyone, make Merry!
